REFUND POLICY
JITO Chennai — Step Challenge Application

1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to the one-time registration / participation fee collected from participants of the Step Challenge (the "Competition") operated by JITO Chennai, through the payment gateway Razorpay.
2. Nature of the fee
The registration / participation fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee that grants you access to participate in the Competition through the Step Challenge application. The Service is a digital service; no physical goods are sold or shipped.
3. No refunds
Once the registration / participation fee has been paid, it is non-refundable, including (without limitation) in the following circumstances:
- you choose not to participate or stop participating after registering;
- you are unable to participate due to an incompatible device, lack of a step sensor, or inability to grant or maintain health-data permissions;
- you are deactivated or disqualified for non-compliance with eligibility criteria or for suspected manipulation of step data;
- you do not win a medal or your team does not win the Competition; or
- you are dissatisfied with your ranking or results.
By completing payment, you acknowledge and accept that the fee is non-refundable.
4. Exceptions
Refunds will only be considered in the following limited cases:
- Duplicate payment: Where you are charged more than once for the same registration due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded.
- Failed transaction with debit: Where a payment fails but an amount is debited from your account, the amount will be refunded.
- Cancellation of the Competition by JITO Chennai: Where JITO Chennai cancels the Competition in its entirety before it begins, JITO Chennai may, at its discretion, refund the registration fee.
5. How to request an eligible refund
To request a refund under Section 4, contact us within 7 days of the transaction with your name, registered mobile number, transaction reference / Razorpay payment ID, and a description of the issue:
6. Processing of approved refunds
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Razorpay.
- Refunds are typically processed within 7 to 10 business days of approval, though the time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
- Razorpay transaction fees, where applicable, may be deducted or non-recoverable as per Razorpay's terms.
7. Governing law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
